Housing and homelessness

Summary

The Government has announced that landlords will no longer be able to evict tenants when they have done nothing wrong, using a 'Section 21'. This is an important improvement to housing rights, but many landlords will try to evict their tenants before the law changes. This guide will help you work out what options you have when you have received a 'no-fault' eviction notice and decide what to do when. Getting free one-to-one advice about housing is hard. All advice services are extremely busy. We are here to help everyone who cannot get in at an advice service and cannot afford to pay for legal help. We give you the knowledge, confidence, and skills you need to deal with the issue yourself, or with the help of friends or family. If you need more help than you can get from our advice guides and self-help tools, we explain how to try to find advice.
